Do you need fresh bread? help? advice? a tool? someone to talk to? contact?
One request is enough.
Whatever you need ...
Someone nearby has it.
bitte.help connects you.
Free · no account · no profile · no audience · no ads
Sometimes you just need someone.
Quickly. Without fuss.
But who do you ask when you don’t know
who can help, here and now?
Somewhere out there is someone
with time on their hands who wants to help.
Someone just waiting to be asked.
bitte.help connects you.
One request. Many ears.
Separate conversations.
26 hear your request
One request reaches everyone nearby.
They read what you need. Your name and your number stay with you.
3 answer you
Every answer comes straight to you.
A conversation, not a group.
1 number shared
Every conversation belongs to the two of you.
Nobody else hears about it. You share your number one person at a time.
This is how we connect people
– without an audience, without posturing.
Many hear. One answers.
Your request reaches everyone nearby. Every answer arrives with you, and every conversation stays between the two of you.
Nobody talks over you.
There is no public thread for strangers to leave their opinions under. Whoever wants to help writes to you.
Humanity instead of social media.
No reach, no likes. The only thing visible is your karma – and you earn that by helping.
You choose who you ask.
26 people near you
Your request goes to everyone nearby.
Neighbours whose number you don’t have, too.
9 members of the club
Or only to your club.
Then only members see it.
6 colleagues
Or only to your colleagues.
You can belong to several groups. You choose again with every request.
And when you help,
people see your group.
You know who reads your request.
A request to your club reaches members only. Nobody else.
Your groups travel with you.
Even on a request to everyone: whoever helps shows their groups. So you know who you are dealing with.
You reach the whole neighbourhood.
Your members don’t only help each other. When they help a neighbour, your name is there with them.
Would you like your organisation on bitte.help?
You decide what you share.
| Unnamed | Someone is there | Number shared | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your number | hidden | hidden | shared |
| Talking | not yet | via bitte.call | call directly |
| Writing | not yet | not yet | write directly |

Every request disappears after 24 hours.
Gone is gone.
Requests expire and disappear – and the messages with them. No archive, no history, nothing to read back.
Your location stays yours.
We find people near you – without giving away where you are.
Only the neighbourhood hears you.
Your request goes no further. The exact radius is named in the app’s privacy policy.
What happens when someone causes trouble.
Hurtful words don’t get through.
Requests and messages are checked. What hurts is filtered out before it reaches anyone.
Report whatever is wrong.
A reported request disappears from your feed, and we take a look at it.
Then there is quiet.
No more conversation, no message, no call – in both directions.
Three steps from request to help.
Just ask.
What you need. In one sentence. No name, no number.
Next door, it rings.
Everyone near you sees your request – including neighbours whose number you don’t even have.
Someone is there.
You talk. You write. You help each other. Done.
Someone needs help.
A request from near you appears in your feed.
Show that you are there.
One tap on bitte.help, and the request does not go unanswered.
You help.
You talk. You write. You help each other. Done.
As soon as someone helps, it begins.
Talk without your numbers.
As soon as someone accepts your request, the two of you can talk. We connect the call without either of you seeing the other’s number. Whoever hangs up has given nothing away.
Sometimes one line is enough.
You can simply write to each other instead of calling. One thing to know: if you write the first message as the helper, you release your number by doing so. That is deliberate – whoever helps takes the first step.
A thank you, not a score.
After a helping hand you give each other brief feedback – good or less good. Your karma grows from that. It is not a rank and not a leaderboard: there is nothing to collect and nothing to defend. It only says how others fared with you.
No profile. No ads.
No trading in your data.
Nothing to fill in.
There is no page about you. Nothing to maintain, nothing to compare.
Nobody buys their way into your feed.
It holds requests from people near you. Nothing else.
We don’t trade in you.
We sell no data and build no profiles. This website counts visits anonymously and without cookies.
On the big networks, the users are the product. Not here.
Why we are building bitte.help.
When we dream of the future,
people are there for each other again.
We build digital products
– not for screen time,
but for real encounters.
It works in Aachen. In Cologne.
But also in Delhi, New York and Beijing.
This is not social media.
This is humanity.
Started in Aachen.
Made for the world.
What people ask us.
Is bitte.help really free?
Yes, completely. No hidden costs, no premium subscription, no in-app purchases. bitte.help is free.
Who sees my request?
Only people near you. They see what you need, but not your name and not your phone number. Your number stays hidden until you decide to share it. The exact radius is named in the app’s privacy policy.
Does anyone actually use this?
bitte.help is just starting out in Aachen. We are a small, growing community. The more people join, the better it works – which is why every single download counts.
How is this different from a WhatsApp group?
In a WhatsApp group everyone knows your number and sees your profile. On bitte.help your number stays hidden from the start. Your request automatically reaches people nearby – you don’t have to join any group.
What happens to my data?
Your requests disappear automatically after 24 hours. We store no chat histories, no location history, no contact lists. Your phone number is used for verification and stays hidden until you share it. If you help someone and write the first message, you share it by doing so. More on this in the privacy policy.
I need help with the app. Who do I ask?
Write to us at support@bitte.help. We usually reply within five working days. Answers to common questions – no SMS code, deleting your account, reporting someone – are under Help & contact.
Somewhere close by, someone you don’t know yet needs you.
Download bitte.help – and be there when someone needs you.
