To help us help you quickly, tell us whether you use an iPhone or an Android phone and briefly describe what happened. Please never send us a verification code from a text message – we will never ask for one.
Common requests
I don’t receive a code by text message
Check that your number was entered with the correct country code. Sign-up currently works with numbers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium and France. After several attempts in a row, sending is paused for a while – wait a little and try again. If it still doesn’t work, write to us.
Someone is behaving inappropriately
Tell us what happened, when it happened and what the ask was about. We review every report and remove people who misuse bitte.help; where a crime is involved, we contact the authorities. You never have to reply to a message, and your phone number stays hidden unless you choose to share it.
It’s an emergency
bitte.help is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112, the emergency number across the EU.
I want to delete my account
You can do this in the app: on iPhone under Settings → Account → Delete account, on Android at the bottom of Settings via Delete account. Your account and its associated data are deleted. If you can no longer get into the app, write to us and include the number to be deleted.
I have a new phone
Install bitte.help on the new device and sign in with your number; the code arrives by text message. If you also have a new number, simply sign up with it – ideally delete the old account in the app first, or write to us.
What happens with my data?
Asks disappear automatically after 24 hours. Everything else is in the app’s privacy policy and terms of use (EULA) (both in German).
